Wifi problem help?

Many of our customers who had wireless problems fixed them by following the advice below. Watch our videos to find out more.
  1. Turn your Hub and computer or device off for a few minutes before restarting
  2. Put your Hub on a table or a shelf, rather than on the floor
  3. For best overall coverage throughout your house, put the Hub somewhere central, away from thick walls if you can
  4. Ideally, try and keep your Hub away from other electrical equipment. In particular, try to keep it away from baby monitors and cordless phones that can cause interference
  5. Using lots of devices at the same time can cause problems. So try testing with just one device. If it works OK, reduce the number of devices you're connecting using wireless
  6. Try to move your Hub as close as possible to your computer or device, especially if you have thick walls in your home
  7. If you've got a BT Home Hub 1.0 or 1.5, then make sure the Hub's antenna is pointing straight upwards (if you don't know which Hub you have, please see: I don't know which BT Home Hub I have)
  8. If you have a BT Home Hub 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0, you could try changing the wireless channel
  9. Lots of our customers find the BT community forum is a great way of getting help with things like wireless. It's easy to get answers to your questions:
